Bring Out Your Plaid
Apr. 2nd, 2009 12:48 pmJust a brief reminder to the tartan-wearing members of the Friends List that National Tartan Day is Monday, April 6th. So get out there and show your Celtic pride. And don’t worry if you don’t have a family tartan. Although most tartans are Scots-Irish, there are Manx, Welsh and Cornish family tartans, Canadian regional tartans, NYC and St. Andrews Society tartans and even one for Galicia (the Celtic part of Spain). And if you are a member of the clergy, there are 2 tartans just for you!
( Here are some helpful links for Tartan Searching )
So grab your kilts, sashes, scarves, shawls or ties and dress for the day. Ian will be wearing his wee kilt for the occasion and I promise there will be pictures!
