Yes I know, I'm terrible. You show us pictures of the Wee Bairn and I comment on the knitting ;) He is adorable and that looks like an ideal spot to nap. It has the added benefit of you getting a nap too.
Yes, it did come out rather well. There are more pics of just the blanket up on Ravelry. I'm also knitting 2 more versions of the blanket right now to kill some left-over yarn.

That blanket is gorgeous! I'm always amazed that people can take a double handful of yarn and turn it into something so wonderfully useful.
